Fuss-free way to paint Easter eggs

One simple and sustainable way to dye your Easter eggs is with tea. It’s quick and simple as 123. All you need is some eggs and tea!

You can either leave boiled eggs in the tea brew over night or simply boil eggs directly in tea for about 15 minutes. I used about 3 tablespoons of tea per 0,5 litre water.

Fruit tea gave the best results coloring the egg in nice purple with some pattern. I also used strong black tea which turned the egg in deep brick color. Green tea with matcha wasn’t as visible on the egg.

You can also use roiboos, maté and infusions like camomile or turmeric to paint eggs – whatever you have on hand.
