Or maybe a chance to share a cup of tea with a local? At Comptoir Florian, a small teashop and a tearoom located away from Brussels touristic routes, you can find all this and more.

Comptoir Florian feels like a place with lots of magic and locals keep it magic. It’s not so easy to spot it, but once you’re inside, a whole new world opens up. There’s even a note at the entrance door asking to switch off your mobile phones. So people come here for a peaceful break to escape the city or stop by after work to empty their minds. It is located in Ixelles/Elsene, but people simply refer to Saint Boniface. So how did I find this secret place? Well, I was brought there by a local! 🙂

They literally have endless list of loose leaf teas from black to green to roiboos to various infusions. And you can be sure you will be served professionally prepared tea with a sweet treat for free (yes, for free!). If you’ve ever imagined your perfect teatime, this is it!

You can choose between a teapot for one (5 EUR) which will keep you busy for a good half hour before you finish reading one more chapter. Or you can order a teapot for two (9 EUR) if you plan to have a cozy conversation with a friend. Enough to last you hours! There’s also a short list of premium coffees to try, but it’s difficult to get bored with so many choices of teas from around the world. And the best part is you can buy the tea you just tried!
