A mug of tea with some honey makes a cold winter night warmer. Honey tastes better than sugar, is by far healthier, boosts your immune system and helps with digestion. But how about combining the two into a cup of honey drink with a bit of tea? Ta-dam!
One Lithuanian manufacturer has produced a type of tea which is mainly based on honey that is then combined with small quantities of herbal teas. You can choose from honey with thyme, peppermint, ginger and lemon-balm. The difference between your usual tea with honey is that here you have around 95-98% of honey and the rest is tea extract. But don’t think that it tastes like pure honey, oh no! Carefully picked herbs have a strong flavor while ginger adds a real spiciness to this drink.
One thing you should remember before drinking honey tea. It is suggested to use boiled water of around 40 degrees Celsius to preserve the valuable properties of both honey and herbs. So make sure you let the water cool down before pouring it into your cup.

I received a sample pack, like what is pictured in the article above, but I’m not positive as to the water to tea ratios that should be used?
Hi Andrew! They say you should use 1-2 teaspoons of honey tea per cup, letting it melt in 40°C water. Let me know if you liked it!
